This Supplemental Privacy Notice applies to individuals in Canada and supplements our main Privacy Notice. It outlines additional information required by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This Notice is incorporated into and forms part of our Privacy Notice.
Applicability of PIPEDA
If you are located in Canada, your personal information will be handled in accordance with PIPEDA. For details on the types of personal data we collect, how we use, share, retain, and safeguard your data, and your rights and choices, please refer to our main Privacy Notice. Alberta and British Columbia have their own private-sector privacy laws, the Personal Information Protection Act (Alberta) and the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia). While these provincial laws may apply to organizations operating entirely within those provinces, we are based in the United States and handle your personal information in accordance with Canada's federal law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including for residents of Alberta and B.C. Québec has also adopted its own privacy legislation, and we comply with Québec’s Law 25 in addition to PIPEDA where applicable.

Cross-Border Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and as such, the personal information of Canadian residents may be collected, processed, or stored in the United States or other jurisdictions outside of Canada. As a result, your personal information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, including lawful access by courts, law enforcement, or regulatory authorities.We take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection that is comparable to that provided under Canadian privacy laws, including through contractual agreements and organizational safeguards. We do not sell personal information to third parties. Where we share personal information with service providers (such as for analytics or advertising purposes), we do so in accordance with applicable privacy laws and with appropriate safeguards in place.
Additional Information for Québec Residents
If you are a resident of Québec, your personal information is also protected under Québec’s Act to Modernize Legislative Provisions Respecting the Protection of Personal Information (commonly known as Law 25).
In accordance with this law, you have the following additional rights and assurances:
Express Consent: Where required, we will obtain your express, informed consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information, particularly for secondary uses such as targeted advertising or profiling.
Cross-Border Transfers: If you are a resident of Québec and choose to use our services, your personal information will be transferred outside Québec, including to the
United States, where it will be processed and stored. This transfer is necessary to fulfill our services. As required under Québec law, we conduct a privacy impact assessment (PIA) to evaluate the sensitivity of the information, the safeguards in place, and the legal framework of the destination jurisdiction.
Automated Decision-Making: If we use your personal information to make decisions based exclusively on automated processing (including profiling), you will be informed and may request access to the decision-making logic, as well as human review.
Right to De-Indexing: You may request the removal or de-indexing of personal information from public-facing platforms when its continued publication causes serious harm and is not justified by the public interest.
